Trinity’s GALLON h2October CHALLENGE
Trinity’s GALLON H2October CHALLENGE… The CHALLENGE…Drink one gallon of H20 for thirty days (Fri. Oct. 2-Fri. Oct. 30). The GOAL: Health!!! The QUESTION: Do you believe that drinking water has health benefits? The PROBLEM: The gap between our belief & our behavior. Saying yes, but not drinking it. Consider the multiple studies that have shown that proper hydration can keep you more regular than fiber, help you lose weight, increase energy, decrease dizziness/vertigo, improve overall cardiovascular health, decrease kidney disease, improve sleep and overall effect mood & behavior for the positive. The EXCUSES: (1) I get water in my food (2) There is water in my coffee, tea, etc.. (3) I’ll have to get up and use the bathroom too much. (to that I say great – it will get you up and moving more) (4) I do not like the taste of water (5) My doctor told me I already drink enough (6) My medical condition only allows me ‘x’ amount of water/day (7) I have tried it in the past & it didn’t help (did you, really?) The ANSWER: You can do it. Set yourself up for success not failure. Trinity is not asking you to change anything else in your life. You do not have to cut anything out or exercise more. Simply, add more water. That’s it! That is the simplicity of this challenge. Water is essential to life – drink it – and lots of it!!! Trinity will be giving out 50 free gallon jugs of water to help get this party started. Our plan is to measure the H20 by filling the gallon jug every day and using that water to fill our cups vs using the tap/water cooler. This way we know we are doing the GALLON CHALLENGE! Ready…set…drink…
A few more facts to consider: (1) Depending on what source, the recommended water intake is approximately 2-3 liters (70-100 ounces) per day (activity level does affect this). (2) The 8×8 rule = 64 ounces per day. (drink 8 glasses of water containing 8 ounces of water). Something very easy to remember, although not quite enough, but a great place to begin. (3) 64 ounces (8×8 rule) = 1/2 gallon. Many people are already drinking half-a-gallon per day and may not even realize it. (4) One gallon = 128 ounces. (5) 128 ounces per day for 30 days = 3840 ounces = healthier mind, body & spirit! (6) Three-quarters of the Earth is covered by water. (7) The human body is approximately 60% water. A human can survive for a month or more without eating food, but only a week or so without drinking water.
Trinity offers HOPE
Beginning Feb. 2015, Trinity will offer HOPE bars – a standardized whole food bar enriched with nothing but food-sourced vitamins, minerals, proteins and fats. The simple concept of ‘Buy One, Nourish Two’ has the capability to affect millions. Dr. Bo states , “I am excited about offering HOPE bars in my office. Not only will this nutrient rich bar help patients become healthier but it will also save lives around the world. And let’s be honest, don’t we all want to be part of something bigger than ourselves.” Thanks for helping Trinity give hope & health to many!
The Hope 40
In an effort to celebrate two 40 yr old birthdays, raise awareness for Voices of Hope and bring hope to a city, Dr. Bryson ran 40 miles on April 7th 2014. Patsy Martin of Voices of Hope writes, “Dr. Bo, through your amazing effort, many people were not only inspired by hope but we were able to raise $3042.05. I can’t tell you how much this means to Voices of Hope. Each and every person who donated has made a difference and truly offered hope to victims of relationship violence and sexual assault. We can’t thank you enough!”
And read how Hope is affecting others:
1. “Dr. Bo, your 40 miles is one of a few things that have inspired me to run a half-marathon. I am unfit and it will take some serious discipline to get where I’d like to. Your courage in being transparent in your struggles (both in the book and in your blog) though different to mine – has made me feel like I am not alone. Your courage in accomplishing 40 miles for HOPE has spurred me on to do something special. Thank you so much. Thank you for being an inspiration to me.” Linda S.
2. “The great thing about The Hope 40 was this; it was never about one man or one run. The 40 miles may have started the campaign but there was always a sense of so much more. The Hope 40 affected the entire community with hope and encouragement.” Dusty B.
Trinity turns 10 years old
“We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers.” (1 Thessalonians 1:2) THANK YOU LINCOLN!!! August 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Trinity Chiropractic. Dr. Bo, his family and staff would like to thank you for your support, encouragement and love. You have made a difference in our lives and we can only pray that we have made a difference in yours. As a thank you to his patients, from August 9-14, Dr. Bo had what he called “10 for 10.” Trinity gave away $1000 ($10 for 10 years to 100 people) and ten one-hour massages. Dr. Bo states, “The hope is that each person would use a portion of the money for themself but then pay it forward to bless someone else. We are excited to see how far $10 can go! Plus, out of everything that has happened in the past 10 years (and there has been much), the patients are the reason Trinity exists. Their stories have been woven into the fabric of Trinity and for that we are eternally grateful. With their help, Trinity has and will continue to change lives!”
Dr. Bo interviewed on My Bridge Radio
On August 6, 2013, Dr. Bo was able to share about what has and continues to happen at Trinity. It is much! If you want to find out – stop by and we would love to share with you.
Empowering Hydration of the Mind & Body
At Trinity, our desire is to help balance the mind, body and spirit. With this always as a driving thought behind what we do Trinity held a 7-14-21 day HYDRATE YOUR MIND & BODY CHALLENGE! June 8th-30th 2012
We challenged our patients and staff to drink nothing but water for 7 or 14 or 21 days. During this time Dr. Bo also sent out daily healthy thoughts via Facebook, Twitter and text. We hoped that our patients would read his words and meditate or journal about them to help them “hydrate their minds”. We supported one another throughout our challenge as it was difficult for the coffee, tea and soda lovers. But we made it through and our results were amazing!!!
After our body detoxed the caffeine, chemical colors and excess sugar we were consuming many patients and staff noticed that they had more energy and less muscle pain!!! Caffinee addicts found they really didn’t need that drug anymore as their days went by with less ups and downs. People who didn’t believe they could even make it one day, made it 7-21 days without their vice. They proved to themselves that change is possible when you put your mind to it and have friends who support you! Together we can do anything and we can help ourselves lead happier, healthier lives!
Empowering Transformation in May
Trinity is excited about helping each patient live a transformed life by balancing the mind, body & spirit. Dr. Bryson wants patients to be transformed in the way they think of themselves, their health and their community. Dr. Bryson wants each patient to take a breath, relax and to appreciate each day as a gift. Matthew 6:34 reminds, “Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its’ own.”
To help patients achieve transformational living, Dr. Bo is gave away 7 FREE ONE-HOUR MASSAGES during the month of May. How did he chose the lucky winners??? Well he asked our patients to do a few simple tasks. They had to like Trinity on our Facebook page. Then they had to look at Trinity’s website. And each week, Dr. Bo hid a word somewhere within Trinity’s website. Each word was capitalized and placed randomly on a page. When the patients found the word they emailed Dr. Bo and the first few people who found the words won!!!
However hopefully everyone that played was a winner as Dr. Bo also asked contestants to answer these questions in their email to him, what healthful tip was learned from the page the word was located on and how will you apply that healthful tip to your life? It is not too late for you to take advantage of the life transformation that can take place when you educate yourself and then apply positive principals. So take a look at our website and find some health nuggets you can apply to your life. Also take a look at the words used below, read each word ask your self what it means and what it looks like in your own life. Then challenge yourself to do one thing today that will bring it into your life more fully.
Word to look for “TRANSFORMATION.”
Word to look for: “RELAXATION.”
Word to look for: “INSPIRATION.”
Word to look for: “DEDICATION.”
Word to look for: “REALIZATION.”
Have fun & be transformed: To transform the mind – you will have to be inspired & dedicated to read through the website. To transform the body – you will have to relax and breathe. To transform the spirit – you will have to pursue faith, hope and love realizing the foundation is love.
The Power of a Simple Gift
A simple yet powerful gift can change a life forever! In October of 2011 Trinity Chiropractic partnered with Operation Christmas Child and became a business-drop-off location for the project which provides children in impoverished nations a gift of a shoebox full of school supplies, toys, socks, etc. Jeanne, our receptionist, was passionate about recruiting volunteers, asking patients for donations and explaining to everyone around her the difference Operation Christmas Child can make in the lives of children around the world. Trinity Collected 80 shoe boxes full of simple gifts that were sent to Zambia.
Read this excerpt from an article on the Samaritan’s Purse’s website to help you understand why this mission is important:
This was a special day at school, a day of surprises. Although the teachers had tried to keep it a secret, the children had found out that they would receive gifts, and they were excited. Before she received her shoe box, 8-year-old Joy listed the things she wanted.
“School supplies … slippers … a pencil case … a pencil … anything that can be used for writing … and shoes.” She paused between each item as if she was afraid to say that she wanted more than one thing. Only after being prompted did she continue her list.
Nine-year-old Ralph slowly listed what he wanted, too. “School supplies, school bag, a T-shirt, shoes and socks.”
All of these are simple things that most American children take for granted. But in impoverished areas like this one, school supplies and basic clothing make a huge difference.

Our office manager Anna said this in response to this article, “The desires of these children help put our American Christmas lists into perspective. How can I spend hundreds to thousands of dollars buying more stuff for my loved ones when across the globe hundreds and thousands of children just wish they had a pencil or a pair of shoes? I am grateful we participated in this project and I hope that it compels our patients to give more internationally to bring God’s hope and love to children worldwide”
If you would like to see Trinity participate in Operation Christmas Child again in the future be sure to call and let us know!
Barefoot Days @ Trinity
“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news…” From September to October in 2010 Trinity’s staff were walking around without shoes! We were working barefooted in order to promote our shoe drive. We collected 150 pairs of shoes from our patients and then gave them away! Practical winter shoes and tennis shoes of all sizes were given to the homeless population that live at the People City’s Mission (www.peoplescitymission.org). A few pairs of brand new tennis shoes were also given directly to men who live under bridges in the Lincoln area. The “impractical” dress shoes, flip flops and high heals were donated to Trinity’s neighborhood Salvation Army on 27th and Y.
Since we know the need for shoes is even greater internationally than in Lincoln, Dr. Bo donated a 1.00 per pair of shoes, a total of $150.00 to Donate Your Old Shoes (www.donateyouroldshoes.org), a non-profit organization that ships donated shoes to impoverished nations.
Trinity helps the un-insured get medical services.
“Guard your heart because it is the wellspring of life!” To many people Clinic with a Heart is just that — a wellspring of life that brings hope and healing. Clinic with a Heart provides specialized medical care to the serve the un-insured, the under-served and, at times, the un-loved of Lincoln. In February of 2010 Trinity patients raised $400.00 for the Clinic and Dr. Bo matched it making our donation $800.00!!!
Watch this video to hear a little more about what they do at Clinic with a Heart and also to how donations help their clinic.
Clinic with a heart is located at 1701 S 17th street. They offer walk in services on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening. Click here to see their schedule.
Dr Bryson said, “I have personally treated patients at Clinic with a Heart. There is no greater pleasure than to help someone in need. We have been given much, why would we not return that blessing?” Thank you so much Trinity patients for helping raise money for this great cause!!!
